Citibank Named Best International and Second Best U.S. Domestic Cash Management Bank By Treasury & Risk Management Magazine

Rated Second as Best in US Domestic Cash Management Services

23 September 2003, New York - Citibank is the Best International Cash Management Bank for the third year in a row according to a ranking from Treasury & Risk Management magazine in their September 2003 issue. In addition, Citibank vaulted to second place ranking as Best Domestic Cash Management Bank in the United States.

In their third annual cash management survey, readers of Treasury & Risk Management gave their opinion on which banks were best in international and domestic cash management services. Over 550 CFOs and Treasurers responded to the survey. The responses were grouped according to companies with more than US$ 500 million of revenue and companies with less than US$ 500 million of revenue. Citibank received the same ranking in both categories.

"We're pleased that our clients recognize Citibank as the best in international cash management and are especially pleased to improve our ranking in the U.S. domestic market. This past year we realigned our structure internally to allow a clear focus on serving the needs of clients in the U.S. and internationally, who turn to us for critical counsel and guidance. We view the U.S. as an important growth market and it appears that our realignment is demonstrating value to our clients in the U.S.," said Paul Galant, Global Head of Cash Management, Citigroup Global Transaction Services.
