15 October 2003, New York - Maersk Taiwan Ltd and Citigroup jointly announce the launch of Maersk Taiwan's e-Payment service to Maersk Sealand customers in Taiwan. Through the integration of Citigroup's CitiConnectSM Web-Enabled Financial Services into Maersk Sealand's e-commerce solutions, Maersk Sealand customers in Taiwan can check schedules, place bookings, submit shipping instructions, print out Bills of Lading, track cargo, and now pay the ocean freight anytime, anywhere via the Internet. As a result, Maersk Sealand customers in Taiwan are able to improve their efficiency and reduce their cost.
