Traffic fines may now be paid through Citibank's Easy Pay cash payment system
Romania, 6 April 2005 – Citibank Romania, part of Citigroup, today announced that Bucharest citizens can now pay their traffic fines using Easy Payments, Citibank's automated cash payment system, available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
As of March 2005, citizens living in District 1 will have two automated cash payment systems available for paying their traffic fines, situated in Piata Victoriei and Piata Lahovari.
This new payment service, offered by Citibank Romania S.A. in partnership with Local Taxes Administration, is also available for citizens from other districts if they wish to make payments within 48 hours of the fine’s issue time.

Citibank Easy Payments is an exclusive solution for the Romanian market. It allows the payment of various bills such as telephone and electricity, university taxes, insurance policies or traffic fines. During the second half of 2005, Citibank Romania is planning to extend its network with an additional nine automated machines, all in easily reached locations throughout Bucharest.”
Additionally, using Citibank Easy Payments, customers can also pay Mobifon, Zapp, Romtelecom, Electrica (Bucuresti, Ploiesti, Ilfov), Apa Nova and Avon Cosmetics, AIG Life plocies and SNSPA taxes, as well as Citifinacial loans, all without requiring a debit card or bank account These automated machines are available at Citibank branches in Bucharest, Brasov, Constanta, Cluj Napoca and Ploiesti.
