Association for Financial Professionals and Citigroup Corporate and Investment Banking Announce Strategic Alliance for AFP Executive Programs
Bethesda, MD and New York, NY – April 11, 2006 — The Association for Financial Professionals (AFP) and Citigroup Corporate and Investment Banking announced today a strategic alliance for Citigroup’s Cash Management business to become the exclusive partner for AFP’s Executive Programs. AFP Executive Programs provide timely and relevant news, peer exchange and exclusive forums for senior-level executives in corporate finance, risk management, global treasury management, accounting and reporting, and transaction services.
"As the responsibilities of the corporate treasurer continue to grow, AFP is committed to providing new learning and networking opportunities for the decision-makers of corporations operating in today’s global marketplace," said Jim Kaitz, President and CEO of AFP. “We are excited to be working on this program with Citigroup, an organization with deep expertise in challenges treasurers face in doing business globally. We are confident that this partnership with Citigroup will provide AFP members a new resource and insights into strategic solutions that will help them grow their businesses and professional skills.”
As an exclusive partner, Citigroup will underwrite the development of strategic research and high level educational programming across a variety of AFP Executive Programs, including:
- Corporate Treasurers Council, which hosts quarterly roundtables for senior treasury executives in major metropolitan areas around the U.S. to facilitate interaction and collaboration amongst treasurers on key topics of interest.
